Solar Power History
Solar Power History has come a long way from it’s beginning. Solar is Renewable Energy important and here is an outline of how technology has evolved.
The historical progress in the production of Solar Electricity
Solar electricity is basically the use of energy from the sun. It takes many combination’s, including electricity generation panels, heating systems and passive packages for mobile devices such as laptops and power-VR to name just a few alternatives.
Through-out time, the sun has been used by man to produce heat as the first structures built. Without electricity, man quickly learned to build systems to harness the sun’s heat in the daytime and stored in ceramic or clay, as a paved parking lot is radiating heat when the sun is lying. The first Greek buildings showed a basic use of this strategy sun like Egyptian structures.
Solar Power History shows the generation of electricity from the sun is a much more current phenomenon. In 1901, Nicolas Tesla was granted a patent related to Solar Energy, calling it radiant heating. Tesla requested a patent on a devise that captured Solar Heat, but there wasn’t any advancement in the invention.
Solar power history continues In 1904, Albert Einstein published a report on taking advantage of producing electricity from the sun. The in 1913, William Coblentz received the original patent for a Solar Cell, but never could make it functional. In 1916, Robert Millikan was the first to actually generate electricity from the cell. During the following 40 years, there wasn’t much advancements in cells because the cells are very inefficient in converting sunlight into energy.
Then in 1950s, Bell Labs along with NASA, mounted a sensor platform solar energy when orbit was achieved. The Solar Industry took a giant leap forward.
Solar History continued with Gerald L. Pearson, Daryl Chapin and Calvin S. Fuller who started research on various fields related to solar energy. Luckily, they met and exchanged ideas. Even-though the individual projects weren’t successful, combined efforts produced a much high efficient cell using crystalline silicon to produce sun energy into electricity. The efficacy of the cells was about 6 percent, a significant improvement compared with previous technologies. In 1958, NASA built and sent into outer-space the spacecraft Vanguard, which has been fueled by Solar Panels.
In subsequent years, Solar Technology has progressed at a incredible pace. Solar panels today are about 15 percent effective, smaller in size. More importantly, industry today have abandoned the platform panel and feature incredible new products. The first are the tiles that look exactly like the roof shingles and appears regularly as such. Nanotechnology also offers great opportunities with quantum dots, which are essentially solar panels at the quantum level. Finally, these points will be added to things like paint. Yes, painting the walls of buildings and houses and possibly produce all the electricity needed for the structures.
During the solar power history, man has captured the power of the sun to warm and cook. Only now, we have begin to master the technology to manufacture large quantities of free electricity.

Renewable Energy is the future, why depend on fossil fuels when we can go renewable.`:~
